The Seven Principles of Good Educational Practice
At CAUSE, I heard a number of off-hand references to "the seven
principles." Since I wasn't familiar with the reference, I looked it
up (on the web) and soon found a number of papers and studies, all
focused on these seven principles.
Good practice in undergraduate education:
- Encourages student-faculty contact.
- Encourages cooperation among students.
- Encourages active learning.
- Gives prompt feedback.
- Emphasizes time on task.
- Communicates high expectations.
- Respects diverse talents and ways of learning.
