Before the Interview(s): 1. Distribute resume(s) or other information from the candidate 2. In email (and/or a meeting), explain what we are looking for 3. In email (and/or a meeting), coordinate the interviewing, including: - help lay out the roles for simultaneous interviews - smooth out the coverage so that all of us don't ask the same question - decide what info we want to give the candidate (and who is going to do it) - go over the format for the questions, interviewing, discussion During the interviews: 1. Set the candidate's expectations - who are they meeting, why, what is the format for the discussion/interviewing, etc. 2. Give the candidate a body break 3. If we are "running" the candidate between locations, give them time (and a guide) to get to the next place. After the interviews: 1. Collect the input(s) from everyone 2. Provide all participants with some kind of closure - what was the result? - are we hiring the person or not? - was the input sufficient or not? 3. A quick review of the process with comments is a good idea. I.e., how did the interviewing go? Is there something we should change for the next time? 4. Provide the candidate with feedback in a timely fashion. ------- End of Forwarded Message
