Godel was strolling one day with a lady friend of his named Mula, when the two happened upon a clothing store with a striking fur dress in the window. Mula thought that would be ideal for her, told Godel so, and immediately demanded that Godel purchase the garment for her. The two entered the shop. Godel asked the shopkeeper, "How much is that fur dress?" The shopkeeper, a comely woman named Val (by her name tag), saw that Godel was an impressive man so she said, "First tell me if you two are married." "No," replied Godel, "We are just friends." "Then I will not sell that dress to you unless you spend some time with me." Not wanting to hurt the young ladies feelings', he began, "A mathematician is wed first to his work, and to spend time with him is to spend time with it." Then he paused for a moment, then jumped up and started running out of the room as he thought of a new proof to work on. As he ran out the door he yelled, "If Val it dates, then one well-formed for Mula can also be in fur!"
